The Cage, The Decision, The Breakout.

I have no mildly funny introduction today so I’m just going to go straight into what you came here for. This article is carrying on the series of Light.

You’ll never be a happy sinner. It may do at first, give you abit of joy, maybe a sense of rebellion, but when you commit to sin you become a slave to it. Long term, you can’t be a happy sinner, It’s not possible, You can try and delude yourself into thinking that you don’t need God, but he’s the cornerstone. Sinning doesn’t make you happy. It’s what the Devil wants you to do, so why would it fulfill you. The Devil trys to fill your minds with a load of lies. He trys to make you feel like you’re strong enough to live without God, that you’re strong enough to sin constantly. You think these thoughts are your own, but anything related to sin is the Devil, I can assure you that. You think by sinning you can still see, you think that you’re freed by it. That you don’t have to follow some rules, you can live how you want to. Sinning doesn’t free you. Think about it, really. Sin stops you from achieving your potnetial, it’s a barrier, an obstacle which must be overcome. Sinning boxes you in, it doesn’t free you. It drops you into a Dark, Small Cage.
A Cage which clouds your vision. A Cage which keeps you in, keeps you blind. Being sinful is like being in a Cage of Darkness. It’s Claustrophobic, Painful, Scary.
Jesus didn’t die so you could worship a box, he didn’t take nails through his hands so you could be boxed in and broken down. Jesus didn’t conquer death so you could sit in Darkness. He died so you could be saved, by his wounds you have been healed!
Every drop of blood that dripped down his face was a sign that he loved us. In fact, he loved us so much that he actually died for us. Just think for a second, He actually died!
He died so you could be saved, not so you could sin.
That’s truth. But instead of me telling you things, I’ll help you out.
Getting out of the cage may seem hard, some things may need to be cast aside. You might need to do some more things in your life. But really, Getting out only takes one simple thing; Making a Decision. It could be the decision to read your Bible more often, it could be the decision to drop the sin. It could be to pray more, to ask God more often for help, to be more pure, to obey God’s word more. It could be anything. But all it takes is a Decision, nothing more. Granted you may need to do some work to get out, but that work will never take place unless a decision is made.
Once a decision is made, you can think about your Breakout.
A warrior never goes into Battle without his (or her) armour. And there’s only one armour that will help you tear down the walls of this cage; The Armour Of Light.
‘The Night is Nearly over; The day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of Darkness and put on the armour of Light.’ – Romans 13:12 (NIV)
Come on! The Night is nearly over, the dawn is almost here. The Next day is almost upon us, the next step is around the corner. Put aside those deeds of Darkness, drop the sin, Cast aside what is holding you back! Put on the armour of Light! Wield your sword! Begin to strike down the four sides of the cage. The cage that has held you so long, the cage that will soon be no more! No more! Breakout! Break the Chains, Breakout of Darkness, Break the Box. Put on your armor. Your armour is God! God is your Light, God will knock away the arrows from the evil one, He’ll help you see, he’ll be your armour. Your Protector. Do not Worry, God is here to help. Be a warrior, not a worrier.
God is our shield, and we our his sword.
He protects us, but we need to be his instrument and spread the word.
Break other people’s cages. People who have needed your sword for a long time. People who are distant, people who are near.
It’s time for Breakout!
Break out of Darkness, Break off the Chains.
You are Free!
You’ve always been free!
You’ll always be free!
