Ignite An Invite

03 Feb

Hello People. Sorry I’ve not posted in a while, just been figuring out some new ideas. But I can honestly say I’ve gone into another season in which I’m getting ideas left, right and centre.

We came to God through an Invitation. That’s it. We’re here, walking with God, because of an invite. An invite to Church, an invite to a social event, an invite to a Youth Group. Etc.
In Matthew 10:8 it says “Freely you have recieved, freely give” Freely we recieved an invitation to Church, freely we can give one. An Invite costs nothing, just words and a little bit of Courage.
An Invite is perfectly Free, and freely we recieved an invite. Freely we should invite somebody.

“The Seed is the Word of God” – Luke 8:11
After reading the whole parable of the Sower, this line stuck out at me. Everything else was good, but I felt that this line was the only thing I needed to create an article.
When seeds are planted they can grow into Beautiful plants. But the seeds we’re about to plant are special. The seeds we’re about to plant are the word of God.
Plant a seed via invitation.
1)An invite doesn’t have to be Loud and Arrogent. It can be a soft whisper, some basic sentences: “Yea, I’m a Christian. I go to a Youth Group on Friday Night. Fancy coming one week?”
That’s it. Nothing More.

2)You have the Bible in Hand, the word of God is provided for you. There’s nothing stopping you to invite a person. Just Invite! What’s the worst that could happen? If you invite someone and they say “Yes” Their whole life could be turned around, like mine was. They could become a strong Christian and influence other people to come to Church too! This seed you plant could creat a Strong Tree, deeply rooted in faith and that tree could too plant seeds for other people. Creating the Domino Effect. Even if a person says “No” then it’s just unlucky. There’s plenty of times where I’ve asked people and they’ve turned down the offer. Even after me preaching to them, they’ve still said No. But you can’t let that dishearten you. Just get up and Go again. A Strong Tree won’t come straight away, you need to keep investing into it. Keep watering it, it’ll grow into something beautiful.

3) If you feel like you can’t do it, it’s too big of a challenge, too big of a step. Well, Pray to God. Ask him for the courage to step out in Faith. Ask him to Give you the oppourtunities where you can invite people.
Just have Faith that you can do it. Becaue you can. You can do it! Nothing’s stopping you, God will be with you and if God’s with you who can stand against you? He’ll be there if they say “Yes”, he’ll be there if they say “No”. Just have faith in yourself and have faith in God’s Power. Just plant a seed, God will do the rest. That doesn’t mean don’t water it and once it’s been planted just leave it for God to do. You need to commit yourself to making the plant amazing. But just have faith in God, have faith that he can change somebody, that he can fill you with the right words because he can. Have faith in his strength. Just have faith in him.

Just invite people. What’s the worst that could happen?
Light the fuse, Ignite an Invite.
Plant a Seed.

Thanks For reading.

Nick 🙂
